The following scholarships DO NOT require applications. The recipients are chosen based on nominations made by faculty/staff and are dependant on donor. The student does not contact faculty/staff for nominations. When the funding becomes available, the Dean's Office will contact the relevant department representatives.

​THE ROBERT A. SCHWARTZ SCHOLARSHIP     
The Robert A. Schwartz scholarship is a four-year scholarship given to an incoming Computer Science Honors student every year. The $1250 per semester scholarship is funded by an endowment generously donated by Stony Brook Computer Science alumnus Robert A. Schwartz (BS 1975) in 2007. Mr. Schwartz is Chief Technology Officer of GlobeOp Financial Services. 

​DATA DEVICE CORPORATION SCHOLARSHIP     
Data Device offers one $3,000 ($750 per semester for the four semesters of the junior and senior years) scholarship to a student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.4 and be a Long Island resident. A paid internship may also be available in the summer between the junior and senior years. 

​THE WEINIG FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP  
The Weinig Foundation provides four to five $4,000 scholarships each year to meritorious junior or senior students in any one of the College's programs: Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Molecular Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science / Materials Science, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or Technological Systems Management. (At least two recipients will be students majoring in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.) To be considered for a scholarship award, students must have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.3. 

​FRANCES & VELIO MARSOCCI SCHOLARSHIP  
One $500 scholarship will be awarded to a junior or senior student in a CEAS major who is in good academic standing and who has provided outstanding service to the extracurricular activity in the College. 

​METROPOLITAN CLUB / ASSOCIATION OF OLD CROWS SCHOLARSHIP  
The Metropolitan Club chapter of the Association of Old Crows, a national professional organization of electronic defense, offers competitive scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $1,500 each year to eligible students nominated by their institution. To qualify, students must be United States citizens who have completed at least two years of study toward their baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field, and who are permanent residents of Nassau, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties, or one of the five boroughs of New York City. The Association selects recipients on the basis of academic achievement and/or financial need. 

​THE RAHSAAN T. JACKSON SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FOR EXTRAORDINARY ACHIEVEMENT  
The Rahsaan T. Jackson Scholarship Award for Extraordinary Achievement will be awarded to a student enrolled in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences who exemplifies the attributes associated with Rahsaan, a talented student in Electrical Engineering who passed away in 1998, after a long and brave battle with a debilitating illness. Those attributes are: a strong record of academic achievement, integrity, courage, and determination. 

​SOCIETY OF AMERICAN MILITARY ENGINEERS SCHOLARSHIP / EHASZ GIACALONE ARCHITECTS, PC.  
The Society of American Military Engineers(New York City Post)and Ehasz Giacalone Architects, P.C offer one $1,000 scholarship yearly to a deserving engineering student who needs financial assistance and who is a U.S. citizen or the process of being naturalized. 

​STEWART HARRIS SCHOLARSHIP  
One scholarship between $250 and $1,000 is offered to a freshman engineering student. TAU BETA P1 SCHOLARSHIPS The Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society offers two $500 scholarships to engineering students (one freshman and one sophomore) who, in the past year, have demonstrated outstanding promise for achievement as engineers. 

​STONY BROOK ALLIANCE FOR MINORITY PARTICIPATION 
The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The program provides both academic support and stipends to underrepresented minority students planning to major in science, math, engineering and technology who maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade point average. For this program, a minority student is defined as being of African American, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, Alaskan Native, Hawaiian Native, or American Pacific Islander heritage.

​CSEMS SCHOLARSHIP  
CSEMS is a Scholarship and Academic Support Program funded by the National Science Foundation and administered by Stony Brook University's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The program is administered by the Department of Technology and Society in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The program will provide a comprehensive support and scholarship program for associates and bachelors degree candidates at Nassau and Suffolk County Community Colleges and Stony Brook University. Eligibility for scholarship support is based on economic need as determined by a student's eligibility to receive federal scholarship support. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 and be enrolled in one of the majors within the College of Engineering and Applied Science. 

​S_STEM SCHOLARSHIP  
The Stony Brook University Scholarships for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The program is administered by the Department of Technology and Society in Stony Brook's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The program provides a comprehensive academic support and scholarship program for bachelor degree candidates in Stony Brook University's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Eligibility for scholarship support is based upon economic need as determined by a student's eligibility to receive federal scholarship support. A minimum cum GPA of at least 2.80 is also required.
