As part of the College of Engineering and Applied Science’s Academic Excellence Award program, two Computer Science (CS) graduates were recognized for their academic achievements.
At a special awards ceremony, Dr. Arie Kaufman presented the first Academic Excellence Award to Joshua Belanich for his achievements in Computer Science. Joshua is a member of the Department of Computer Science’s Honors Program with a GPA of 3.99. He will continue his studies in the doctoral program at Stanford University in the fall.
Dr. Kaufman also presented an Academic Excellence Award to Taner Mollaoglu for his achievements in Information Science. Taner maintained a GPA of 3.82 and will be joining Cerner Corp. in Kansas City as a Systems Engineer.
The Department of Computer Science and the College of Engineering and Applied Science are proud of Joshua and Taner’s academic accomplishments. Congratulations to all of the Computer Science graduates in the Stony Brook University Class of 2013!
